Yorkshirský terrier byl uznán v anglickém Kennel Clubu jako samostatné plemeno roku 1886. V roce 1898 byl založen Yorkshire Terrier Club. Následoval mohutný rozvoj plemene a neuvěřitelná jeho popularita. Postupem doby se ze psa loveckého, užívaného též k lovení myší, krys a dalších hlodavců, případně hlídacího stal pes společenský. Celý jeho vzhled se postupem času měnil, ale nezměnila se téměř jeho povaha. Pravý terrierský temperament , pohyblivost a veselost, to vše zůstalo zachováno. Právě pro tyto vlastnosti se stal Yorkshire Terrier společníkem a průvodcem dnešního člověka. Právem se o něm říká: "Malý vzrůstem, velký duchem" - Je sebejistý, učenlivý, odvážný, pohotový i přítulný pes. Obliba yorkshire terriéra vzrůstala nejen v zemi jeho původu - Anglii (hrabství Yorkshire), ale i v Evropě a USA. V České republice se začíná toto plemeno rychle rozšiřovat. V průběhu let se začal objevovat na výstavách. I zde zaujal svou ideální povahou, nepatrnou velikostí i celkovým vzhledem. Začal se brzy těšit mimořádné pozornosti návštěvníků výstav, takže o budoucnost se určitě nemusí bát ...
Yorkshire terrier was confirmed in english "Kennel Club" as a separeted breed by 1886. In 1898 was created Yorkshire Terrier Club. Fallowed with huge expansion, unbelievable favour and big popularity.By the years Yorkshire evolved from small hound , used to catching mouses , rats and other tiny critters, eventually guarding dog into fine sociable dog.All his look has changed by the time, however his nature rather didn't change. The true yorkshire's temperament, movement and hilarity that all hold the line to these years. Just for these abilities or better characteristic became Yorkshire terrier best friend and companion for modern man. Rightly we can say: "Small growed, but with big geist!" Yorkshire is confident, teachable, brave, prompt and snuggling dog. Liking for Yorkshire were increasing not onlz in his domicile of origin - Great Britain (county York), byr in Europe and USA too. In the Czech Republicis this breed begining to broaden very fast. Yorkshires are appearing in shows in bigger count to date. Even in Czech Republic he took up his ideal nature, slight size and general futures. He became qucikly in center of attention show's visitors, so we have not to worry about his future... |
